Obituary of Gino Naccarato
It is with extreme sadness that our family announces the passing of Gino Naccarato, a dearly beloved husband, father and grandfather, in his 95th year on February 20,2023. Gino is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ida, his children Nancy (Costantino) Rotella, John (Shelley) and grandchildren Matthew, Eric, Madelyn, Emily, Stephanie and Lauren.
Gino was born in 1928 in Figline, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1949 to seek a better life. He retired in 1988 after working at General Motors for 36 years. In retirement, Gino enjoyed his daily glass of vino, gardening, reading the daily papers along with watching soccer and Raptors Basketball. He was a proud founding member of Club Roma. Gino was a kind, friendly and generous soul who took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
He will be greatly missed.
Arrangements entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As per Gino’s wishes, a private graveside service will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
