                                                                             March 3, 1942 – February 20, 2023

Nicola (“Nick”) Torrieri, 80, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2023 at Niagara Health - St. Catharines surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Guardiagrele, Italy to Giovanni and Lucia on March 3, 1942, and grew up with his sisters Isabella and Menina. In 1969, at the age of 27, he left everything that was familiar and made the cross-Atlantic trip, arriving in Canada to start a new life for himself, his family, and generations to come. He was the proud owner/operator of Nick’s Tailor Shop in St. Catharines.

Nicola was a man of tremendous strength, courage, love, and had an incredible sense of humour. He is survived by his loving and caring devoted wife, Maria, and sons John (Nicole) and Lino (Lisa). Loving Nonno to Tyler, Jacob, Lucas, and Ryan. Nick will be greatly missed by extended family members and many friends. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St Catharines on Monday, February 27th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Monday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Church, 230 Lake Street, St Catharines on Tuesday, February 28th at 11a.m. Entombment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens in Fonthill to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
