Obituary of Sandy St. Michel

With much love and sadness we announce the passing of Sandy on February 10, 2023 at the age of 61. She is now reunited with her daughter, Cassandra and her parents Nyle and Katherine. Mother and best friend to Hope (Jake), Shanon, Aaron, Andre (Ashley), and Holly. Cherished Nanny to Bailey, Ethan, Cora, Taylor, Owen, Payton, and Kinsley. Loving partner to Ivor Jones for over 25 years. Sandy will be missed by her siblings Tim, James, Vicky, and Barb. She will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sandy’s approach to life was very much ‘slow-living’, valuing quality time with family whether she was putting together puzzles, going on walks in nature, or fishing. She embodied the phrase ‘stop to smell the roses’, enjoying and making the most of every moment with her family. We will miss her inviting smile and sharp wit.

Family and friends will be welcomed to a visitation on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 1-3pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by Sandy’s family.
