Obituary of Vincenzo Coppola

It is with great sadness that the family of Vincenzo (Papa Vince) Coppola announce his peaceful passing at the NHS Hospital, on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the age of 81. 

Loving husband to Adelina for over 53 years. Cherished father of Rosie (Nick), Luigi (Jessica), and Johnny (Marsha). Proud Nonno to John, Isabella, Ty, Chase, Stella, Vincenzo, and Victoria. 

Vincenzo was born in Nocera Inferiore, Salerno, Italy on April 14, 1941, to Luigi and Cordialina Coppola. He is survived by his brother, Aniello. Predeceased by his siblings Concetta, Antonino, Maria, Anna, Adriana, and Rosaria. Will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.  

Following his immigration to Canada in 1966, Vincenzo established many successful businesses. Best known for Papa Vince Pizza, and Coppola’s Ristorante. Papa Vince was a kind, loving and generous man who will be deeply missed by all. 

The visitation will be held at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Sunday, January 8th from 2-4 p.m. (Vigil Prayers 3 p.m.) & 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Church on Monday, January 9th at 11 a.m. with entombment to follow.   If so desired, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
