Obituary of Fr. George Sammut
June 28, 1948 – December 27, 2022
Fr. George passed from this life into the next on December 27, 2022. He leaves behind his most loving daughter Carie Lynn Sammut and his beloved granddaughter and goddaughter Annalise; his cherished sister Catherine Gulka, dearest brothers John, Fred and Frank, Chuck and James. Fr George had so many close friends including the Kovacs, the Dowlings, the Devereaux's, the Sifuentes', the Garcias', the Plesters, the Darvilles, Fr Carlos Martins, Gianni Cerasoli, Tuy Ray, Enielle Everett, and his life long friends, Jim, Brian and Carl.
Fr. George had made so many friends as a parish priest we cannot record them all here, but he loved all his parishioners at every parish he was assigned. Being a parish priest was his greatest joy and source of happiness and so he remains a priest forever in the Order of Melchizedek.
Visitation will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 10 Elm St., London, Ontario on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 10:30-11am with Funeral Mass taking place at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Please make donations to London Right to Life in lieu of flowers.
