Obituary of Matthew Gordon Nicholson

Matt joined the Toronto Fire Service in Etobicoke in 1990, where he proudly served alongside his brothers and sisters for over two decades.

Being a jack of all trades, when not on duty Matt was always lending a helping hand to family, friends and neighbours or working on projects around the house or a friend's cottage.

Matt had a deep passion for sports, having loved watching his sons Mitchell and Steven play and cheering along many Leafs games. He loved sunny afternoons by the pool with Anjie, friends and family with the bbq on and music playing. 

Many who had a chance to share good laughs got to know the real Matty - a fun-loving, caring and generous man who warmed any group he hung out with.

Matt is now with his father Bill in heaven and leaving behind his mother Carol as well with his wife Anjie, his sons Mitchell and Steven, his sisters Melisa and Amanda, his grandchildren Mason, Abel and Ava and his step-children Brittani, Jessah, Denny and Matthew. 

He would want you to remember the good times you had together and to always share a good story with him in mind.
