Obituary of Arcadio Opena Godoy
Our beloved Arcadio Godoy Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28th, 2022, at the age of 66. Loving husband of Josefina Godoy who he was married to for almost 47 years. Cherished father to his two sons Richard Sr. (Roselle) and Arcadio Jr. (Jocelyn) Godoy. Proud and doting grandfather of Richelle Mhae, Richard Jr., Racquel Ahne, Arcadio III, Jerome Alexander, Janelle Anne Princess Godoy, and Pearl Art and Arlitha Pearl Valdez. He is forever in the hearts of many extended family and friends.
Arcadio Sr. enjoyed taking care of his garden with many fruits and vegetables that he liked to share with others. He especially loved planting his roses for the love of his life, Josefina. He treasured his tundra truck which he always made sure he cleaned regularly. Most importantly, he deeply cared and adored all his grandchildren. He did this by cooking Filipino dishes, watching NBA games and action movies, singing karaoke, and ensuring he made them laugh.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with George Darte Funeral, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. The family invites guests for visitation on Thursday, December 1st and Friday, December 2nd from 6:00-8:00 PM on both days. A funeral mass will be held at St. Alfred Catholic Church on Saturday, December 3rd at 9:30 AM with burial following at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
