Obituary of Frank Oros
Celebrating a Life Well Lived
It is with the deepest sadness that the Oros, McMullin and Stockwell families share the peaceful passing of Frank Oros at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday November 8, 2022 at the age of 90. He was welcomed into God’s loving arms and reunited with his wife Grace (2007) and daughter Debbie (1992).
Frank was born in Niagara Falls on November 24, 1931 to Mary and Frank Oros, Frank liked to describe himself as “100% Hungarian Canadian”.
Frank was a very humble, faith-filled and hardworking man who always said that he was very fortunate with everything he had in life. He had a long and successful career with IBM where he travelled and served many communities throughout Ontario.
Frank enjoyed many friendships, played cards with “The Burlington Group”, danced everything from 2-step to polka, and found great joy in attending his grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s extracurricular activities.
Lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children Cathy (Rick), Steve (Joanne), Melissa and son-in-law Andy; his grandchildren Bill, Lauren, Grant (Amanda), Shannon (Erin), Brendan (Emily), Nicole, Erin, Bethany, Jacqueline and Christian, and great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Savanna, AJ, Harper, Hannah and Rowan.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all the people who took care of his needs with dignity and compassion in his final months.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St., St Catharines on Saturday November 12, 2022 at 10:30am.
In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Frank’s giving spirit, donations to Community Care St Catharines or Gillian’s Place would be appreciated.
