Obituary of Donna Bernice Adair
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Donna Adair. She passed away peacefully at her home on November 6th, 2022 at the age of 87 years old. Beloved wife of the late Ron (Sparky) Adair (2002). Beloved mother of seven children: Rhonda Smith, Robin Adair (predeceased 2020), Jim Adair (Judy), Deb Szymaniak (Ed), John Adair (Kelly Nicholls), Kim Sackfie (Dale), Karen Mowder. Donna was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren (15) and great grandchildren (17). Predeceased by 2 grandchildren, Andrew James Mowder (1993) and Laura Jean Smith (2012). Donna is survived by her sister, Myrna Tufford (Lance) of Campbell River, BC. She will also be lovingly remembered by many friends, nieces & nephews. Mom worked with the Niagara Catholic School Board as a head custodian for more than 29 years, working at Our Lady of Fatima, St. Catharines for most of those years. Our mother was a hard worker who loved her job, and all the people she met through the years and was dearly loved by all staff and students. Mom was at her happiest cooking Sunday dinners and being surrounded by family, these times will always be fondly remembered. It didn’t matter who showed up, she was always prepared to feed a gang. She will be deeply missed. Many Thanks to Abby from St. Elizabeth’s Health Care and Dr. Michael Torigian for their special care. A very heartfelt Thank you to Deb & Ed for the Love and Care that you gave to Mom for the last year, this will always be remembered and appreciated by us all and we will forever be Thankful. The family kindly requests in lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Fatima School, (Library Fund) Vine Street St. Catharines would be appreciated. In keeping with Donna’s wishes funeral arrangements have been entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 11th 2022 held in the funeral home ceremony room at 11:00AM with a burial to take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. The family invites friends and family for a reception in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall following the cemetery.
