Lawyer Mike Bonomi’s comments are so true. Everyone in Judge Edmondstone’s court was treated with the utmost respect and
consideration. For this, he was universally respected. He always was the quintessential gentleman.

Judge Greg Pockele posted a condolence

I am offering my personal condolences and on behalf of the Association of Ontario Judges.
When I was appointed in 1992, Harry was one of the senior judges who welcomed me and helped me navigate the unique work environment of being a judge. In return, I made sure he was particularly comfortable when he attended conferences in London.
A real gentleman. A decisive judge. A mentor. We will all miss him

I often talked with Harry at meal times at the Royal Henley but the pandemic stopped my weekly visits. My mother was there for 8 years and I always made time to speak with Harry and his wife when visiting my mother. Harry was friendly and so kind, a real gentleman. I spoke with him often after his wife's passing and I remember how difficult it was for him. Hopefully I cheered him up on my many visits with him. He stood out as a wonderful caring man.

To the Edmonstone Family,
I had the pleasure of attending Denis Morris with some of the Edmonstone kids but I got to know Judge Edmonstone as a young lawyer in St. Catharines. Quite frankly, he set an example that we can only hope other judges could follow. He had a real ability to discern facts and apply the law in a fair and equitable manner. Aside from his obvious intelligence, he was patient, courteous, compassionate yet firm. As a consummate professional, his judicial temperament set him apart from others on the bench. I felt privileged to appear in front of him. He was a tribute to the legal profession and our community is a much better place because of his contributions. I am certain you will have wonderful memories to carry you forward. My condolences.
God Bless,
Mike Bonomi

My sincerest and heartfelt sympathies to the Edmonstone family for your loss. Mr. Edmonstone was a kind, thoughtful, friendly man. Had some nice chats at church. My parents and Uncle knew him their whole life and liked him very much. Well respected for a great impact in the community and at St. Julia Church. Sadly another loss of a fine person from that great, great generation ! All my best regards, Larry Dugo
