Peacefully on October 12, 2022 at the Niagara Health System—St. Catharines Site in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Giovanni (2003). Loving mother to Domenic (Carmella), Pat (Laura), and Sam (Jennifer). Dearest Nonna to Michael (2019), Julie, Lisa, Kathleen, Anthony, Natalie, Christina, and Kiana. Great-Nonna to Angela, Ethan, Cole, Carson, Laurilee, Everley, Jack, Nicholas, Aidan, Ava and Nolan. Great-great-Nonna to Mason.
Fiorina emigrated from Sambiase Italy in 1956 to Toronto, moved to Welland in 1964, and eventually settling in St. Catharines in 1992 to be near her family. She had a passion for her garden, and cooking for her family, especially Sunday dinners. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, whom she considered to be her greatest love.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 16th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines with Vigil Prayers taking place at 3:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 17th at 11am at St. Alfred’s Roman Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Hwy #20, Fonthill. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by Fiorina’s family.
