I knew Carol when she came to visit her Aunt Bella in Mold in Wales her dedication to the welfare of her Aunt was exemplary. TheFDF loved her visits she became a good friend , her cheerful disposition, tenacity and love of life will remain with us forever. We are devastated by her passing and our hearts go out to her family in Canada and her beloved Liverpool. You can take the girl out of Liverpool but you never take Liverpool out of the girl. RIP in the arms of the Lord

Dearest Mark, Paul, Natalie & Margaret:
I know there are no words that can ease your pain. Just know that I’ll always be here for you no matter what. Carol was my dearest friend. Although we lived miles apart, we always chatted as if time stood still. We met in the school yard in 1973 just after Carol and her family moved to St. Catharines from Liverpool. We quickly became best friends & have shared so many of life's milestones. I miss her terribly and I'm so sorry I can't be there with you during this difficult time but will watch the service online and will be there in spirit. I hope to come and see you all soon.
Lots of Love,
Diane xo

Please allow me to send heartfelt condolences to Carols family. I am truly saddened by her loss. I will continue to hold the fondest memories of Carol as a colleague and civilian supervisor with the NRPS. Carol was able to brighten my day whenever I stopped in to see her in her Records department office. She was always smiling and positive about the day, no matter the challenges we faced. May fond memories continue to bless those who knew her.

Dear Mark and Family,
We are all grieving with you. Carol was the salt of the earth, always smiling and so vibrant. Came into work smiling from ear to ear every morning. She played so many roles to each and everyone one of us at NRP. An amazing boss, work mom, auntie, gram to our all families. She hosted the warmest Christmas luncheons with her special gifts of appreciation and the loving send off to have a "Very Berry Christmas!" We were blessed to share her with you. May God give you and your family peace, courage and strength to face the days ahead. God bless you all...

A beautiful soul gone far too soon. Carol lit up every room she walked into. I worked with Carol for many years, but more than that, she was a dear friend. She cared deeply about people. She supported me all through my cancer journey and cheered me on when I banged the gong after my last chemo treatment! Our deepest condolences to the entire family and all who loved her. I am truly shocked and saddened to hear of Carol’s untimely passing. We first met in high school, and our paths have crossed many times over the years – the maternity ward when our daughters were born a day apart, the Dry Docks Christmas parties, other times through mutual friends. Every time she was the same lovely, friendly girl that I knew from our Grantham High days. It was always a pleasure to be in her company, and aren’t we lucky to have known this beautiful soul. I hope you take comfort in knowing that she touched so many people in this way. My heartfelt condolences to Margaret, Mark, Paul and Natalie & families.

Words are difficult to describe how Carol's passing has affected all of us. I found this poem which helps to ease the pain
God Saw You Getting Tired
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And whispered "Come to me."
With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn't make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

To Mark and all the rest of Carol's Family:
Carol was my very first Civilian Supervisor in Central Records after I was hired in June 1986. She was always so helpful and has given me great advise over the many years I have known her at the NRPS.
I now consider her a Friend not just a work colleague. I spoke with her before my first trip "over the ditch in 2008". I was heading to Liverpool to see Paul McCartney perform in "their" hometown. Carol was so excited for me.
She loved to talk about her hometown of Liverpool.
She was and always will be loved and respected by so many in the policing community. No one can replace her in both her knowledge and dedication.
I send my condolences to all of you at this very very sad time. And I will cherish the memories I have of your Wife and Mom.
May you rest in peace, Carol.

My Sincerest sympathy to the Berry family. I met Carol for the first time in the mid 80’s at the Police College. We immediately became friends. As our career paths led us to become Records Managers we met again and it was as if no time had past. She was such a wonderful person, smiling even when times were trying and had the best sense of humour. We would laugh for hours. She loved her family so much. So sorry for your loss.
