Obituary of Giovanni Barba
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Giovanni Barba, surrounded by his family on July 26, 2022 in his 80th year. Loving husband of over 48 years to Gelsomina. Devoted father to Anna (Shanon) Bellefeuille, and Pasquale. Cherished Nonno to Kaylee and Kristen. He will be dearly missed by his grand-dog Sedona (aka “Tashiba”).
A well respected, hardworking man, Giovanni was a caretaker for the District of Niagara School Board and retired after 40 years of service. We will miss our ‘Bocce Champion’ at our family camping trips, and our cups of espresso won’t be the same without him.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 11am at St. Alfred’s Church, with entombment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Community Care would be appreciated by Giovanni’s family
