Reiter, Gaétane (née Desabrais)
In the arms of her daughter, Gaétane passed away peacefully on June 26, 2022 at the age of 84. She is now dancing in the sky with her husband, Josef (2015). Loving mother and best friend to Joanne. Mamie to Alyssa (Hunter) and Ron (Gosia). She will be dearly missed by her brother Rick Desabrais (Audrey), her sisters Gisèle (Florent Houde), Lorraine (Ghyslain) Cantin, her sister-in-law Theresa Reiter, and their families. Gaétane was predeceased by her parents, Guillaume and Simonne Desabrais.
Gaétane was a longstanding member of Paroisse Immaculée Conception and their organist for forty-nine years. She was a teacher at both Immaculée Conception and Sainte Marguerite Bourgeoys school.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 29th, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Funeral Mass will be held at Paroisse Immaculée Conception on Thursday, June 30th at 11am. If desired, donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
