Frank Michael Marotta Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce Frank passed away peacefully at the age of 81 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario on June 11, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family.  Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Taricone) for 55 years.  Loving father of Chris, Tim (Margaret), Greg (Chantel) and Anthony (Crystal).  Proud grandfather to Kyra, Jack, Priscilla, Charlotte and Parker.  Frank was predeceased by parents Alfredo and Mary and his brothers Joe, Fred and Bill.   

Frank was born November 21, 1940, in Sudbury, Ontario and eventually settled in St Catharines with Pat where they raised their boys and he practiced law for 50 years.  Frank thoroughly enjoyed his sports; the Bills, Sabres, Blue Jays and Ice Dogs have all lost a true fan. As a golfer he found great pleasure in playing with his friends, especially on their twice-yearly trips to South Carolina and Florida.  He was also an active member of Club Roma for many years, including six of them as the President.  

Frank was a thoughtful and considerate person who made friends easily and left a positive impression on people. This was especially evident in his law practice, as well as in the community and neighbourhood where he lived.  His family and friends will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday June 24, 2022, 2:00 till 4:00 and 7:00 till 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Saturday June 25, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, 1483 Lakeshore Rd., Niagara-on-the-Lake.
