Obituary of Luigi Donatelli
DONATELLI, Luigi Gino ( August 27th, 1936- May 24, 2022) - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gino on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 at Niagara Gardens at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Assunta for 64 years. Cherished father of Frances Donatelli, Tony Donatelli and Gina (Ralph Sirignano). Loving Nonno of Nicholas (Lindsay), Michael (Sarah), Cassandra, Robert (Jayde), Paul (Julia) and Daniel (Chantelle)as well as 4 great grandchildren.He is predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Francesca Donatelli. Born in Italy, he was an only child but will be sadly missed by his sister and brothers in law, the late Elena (Angelo) Casiato, the late Albina (Guerino) Ranallo, Iola (the late Bruno) Mannella and Duilia and Elio Ranallo. Luigi was a wonderful husband and best father and Nonno and will be sadly missed. He had a great passion for the outdoors. From being a Lumberjack in British Columbia to being a farmer in Niagara-on-the-Lake for most of his life. Gino enjoyed the sport of Hunting and Fishing and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Many thanks to the staff at Niagara Gardens for their wonderful care of Gino in the last two years. Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Alzheimer/Dementia Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
