Obituary of Theodore Antonio Sirard
Theodore (Ted) Sirard, aka “King of the Road” (Jan.20.1925 – May.19, 2022)
The Sirard family is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Ted, due to complications from Covid-19. Husband of Shirl; beloved father of Claire (Bob) Hodge, Dan (Alice) Sirard, Doris (Craig) Liddiard, Roger Sirard (Lisa Tappay); cherished grandfather of John, Melinda, Kevin, Darryl, Michelle, Michael, Kylan; loved great-grandfather of Cole, Jack, Chase, Carter, Evander, Leo, Orion, Alex. Pre-deceased by first wife/mother of his children, Gilberte (Gail) Sirard.
Dad lived a full life and was very proud of his children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He retired from General Motors at the age of 62, and spent the next 35 years of his life “keeping busy”. Dad loved puttering, doing odd jobs and creating something new from something old, either in his backyard shed or at the cottage. He enjoyed playing snooker at the “hall”, a good game of cards and following the Montreal Canadiens since childhood.
Each summer, Dad would return to his roots and birthplace of Ville-Marie, QC on Lac Temiscaming to enjoy time spent with his children and their families, as well as his 14 siblings and 64 nieces/nephews. Many cherished memories were made at “Ted’s Family Cottage”. It is here, where his spirit will live forever.
Cremation has taken place. Private final arrangements have been made.
