Obituary of Brian Cullen
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Brian Cullen sadly announce his peaceful passing on his 80th birthday, Monday, May 9th 2022 with family by his side. Brian leaves behind his cherished wife of 57 years, Eileen and his children, Julie (Brad) MacLaurin, Christine (Danilo) DiMarco and Sharon (Paulo) Ferreira; loving grandchildren: Lucas and Nicholas MacLaurin, Antonio and Devon DiMarco and Gemma, Regan, Kiley and Griffin Ferreira; Brian’s siblings, Ellen Stinton, Jimmy Larry, Michael and Stephen Cullen. Predeceased by Brian are his parents Bernard and Cecelia, sister Linda and his grandfather, and grandmother, James and Ellen. Brian and Eileen married March 2nd 1965 at the Holy Cross Church in Northern Ireland. They immigrated to Canada with their three girls in 1972 and landed in St. Catharines where they raised their family. Brian began a successful 30-year career at Case Power & Equipment as a heavy machinery mechanic and eventually worked his way up to selling the construction equipment. Brian had many favourite pastimes that included long walks on the pier in Port Dalhousie, photography and spending time with his grandchildren. Brian enjoyed watching his beloved sports teams and Formula 1 Racing during his spare time. In keeping with his wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, the family wish for Mass donations to the Church be made and/or donations to St. Vincent de Paul. The family invite guests for visitation beginning Sunday, May 15th 2022 from 6-8PM at the funeral home with a Funeral Mass to follow, Monday May 16th 2022 at 10:30AM located at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria.
