Obituary of Lucia Montemarano
In the comfort of her home, Lucia passed away on Friday, April 29th, 2022 at the age of 96. She is now reunited with her husband, Guiseppe (1989) and her daughter Maria Incoronata (2018). Cherished mother of Domenico (Angelina) Del Priore and Gerardo (Gerarda) Del Priore. Loving Nonna to Joe (Sabrina) Del Priore, Sabrina (Rocco) Limoncelli, Michael Del Priore, Frank (Anita) Del Priore, Joe Del Priore, and Gianni (Burgandy) Del Priore. Great-Grandmother to Sienna, Amelia, Ava, Aidan, Giacomo, Aria, Massimo and Marchesa.
After the passing of her husband, Lucia came to Canada in 1989 to be closer to her children. She enjoyed caring for her family, and making homemade pasta.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines with Vigil prayers will take place at 3pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 at 11am with entombment to follow. If desired, donations to the Niagara Health System would be appreciated by Lucia’s family.
