Obituary of Doreen Haven Thompson
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Doreen Haven Thompson (nee Deline) at the age of 74 in St. Catharines. Predeceased by her parents Morris and Joyce Deline. Loving mother of Stacey and J.P. (Patricia). Proud grandmother of Jesse, Mia and Dean. Survived by her loving sister Linda (John) O'Connell, nieces Joanne (Lons), Kathleen (Mark) and Jennifer (Mike), grandnieces Adele, Sophie and Scarlett and grandnephews Ryan and Tyler. She will be sadly missed by many other extended family members.
Doreen spent the majority of her career as the Office Manager for Gigante Paving. She also worked in retail including Hudson's Bay at the Pen Centre. Doreen loved to travel and enjoyed country music. She was an expert shopper, loved to spend time with family and friends and cherished family celebrations. Doreen was very caring and always thinking of others. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed. Doreen will be forever in our hearts.
Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 from 4-8PM. A Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home ceremony room on Monday, May 2nd, 2022 at 11AM with a reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre in Doreen's honour.
