Obituary of Dale Racine

RACINE, Dale †" June 1, 1971 †" September 11, 2012 Peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the age of 41 with his loving wife Lisa by his side at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Dale Racine, cherished husband of Lisa. Adored Daddy of Alexandra. Dear brother of Rick (Sylvie) of Timmins and Lee of Timmins. Loving son in law to Robert and Margaret Green. Loved brother in law to Stuart (Jennifer) Green. Caring and fun loving uncle to Nadia and Chloe Racine and Cameron and Callum Green. Also a special friend, son, brother and nephew to the Andersen family. Predeceased by his beloved parents Yves and Jean Racine and his brother Todd Racine Dale†™s passion was the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and traveling. Dale was dedicated to Police Services where he worked for 17 years for various services such as Canada Customs, Hamilton Police, Toronto Police and as a member of the Niagara Regional Police Services. Within the NRP Dale served on the Marine, Tactical, and Underwater Recovery Team. Dale was also seconded to the RCMP Security Enforcement Team for five years. Dale leaves behind many friends locally and across Canada both civilian and serving within the NRP, RCMP, OPP, Toronto Police, Canadian and US Coast Guard, Ottawa Police, Golden Horseshoe Marine Units, Ministry of Natural Resources, Canada Border Service Agency and the US Border Patrol. Friends may call at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Dale†™s life will be held in First Grantham United Church, 415 Linwell Rd. on Monday at 11 am. Cremation to follow. Dale will be laid to rest with his family in Timmins, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Wellspring Niagara, 3250 Schmon Parkway, Unit 3, Thorold, ON L2V 4Y6 or a Trust Fund for Dale†™s daughter, Alexandra Racine would be appreciated by his family.
