Obituary of Rachele Lina Maida

Maida Rachele Lina (Nee: Biancaniello)

After a brief illness, with her daughter by her side, on April 4th 2022 at NHS St Catharines. Survived by daughter Lauren (Malik), grandchildren Makai, and Laila,  whom she adored. Also survived by her mother Letizia (late Antonio) Biancaniello, siblings Angie (Nick), and Mike (Kristine), and nephews David and Michael, and nieces Kim (Dereck), and Mary. Her lifelong friends Lu, Brad, Steven, and Kendel will miss her terribly.

Rachele was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her family. She loved travelling, reading and cooking; and worked as an RN for over 30 years, travelling throughout the United States and Canada, helping many people in her tenure. Her specialty was Neonatal, having worked at Sick Kids Toronto for a number of years.

In keeping with Rachele's wishes a private service will be held on Friday April 8th. If so desired donations to Sick Kids Hospital Toronto would be appreciated by the family.
