Obituary of Donna Jean Bristol
BRISTOL, Donna Jean - It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Donna Jean Bristol passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on March 18, 2022. She was predeceased by her siblings Sonny Edwards (Pauline), Doug Edwards, Janice Gillis and daughter Colleen Ann Bristol (Ron). Donna is survived by her siblings Betty Vautour (Leon deceased) and Al Edwards, daughters Darlene (Mike), Brenda (Mark) and sons Mike and Darcy (Liana). She leaves behind her grandchildren (Shaun (Krista), Nicole (John), Kyle (Amanda), Katie, Adam, Emmerson and Tate) and great-grandchildren (Aiden, Callie, Owen, Isla and Paisley).
The stork dropped OLB (‘Old Lady Bristol’ as she was affectionately known by her children, behind her back mostly) off in Joggins, Nova Scotia April 22, 1941. OLB moved to Ontario in 1961, we suspect by horse and buggy or however people moved across the country back then.
Her home (and couch) was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay and they never left hungry. OLB gave the BEST hugs. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten, by family and friends.
The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, ON on Saturday March 26 from 2p.m. - 4p.m. A reception to follow on Saturday March 26th from 4p.m. - 5p.m. in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers please donate to www.lunghealth.ca (COPD) or www.heartandstroke.ca.
