Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, March 14th, 2022 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Ernest, beloved husband of Branka. Dear father of Joe and his wife Candi and Susie and her husband Brandon. Devoted Deda to Sophie and Mitchell. The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St Catharines 905-937-4444 on Sunday March 20th from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers at 3pm. Funeral Mass on Monday afternoon at 1pm at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church 272 Vine St. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Anthony's Croatian Church, Welland or St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by Ernest's family.
