Our condolences to the Phelan family.
The Frankie Phelan Five brought much joy to many of us on Saturday afternoons at the Mansion House. Frankie's jokes completed the afternoon

I send sincere condolences to the Phelan Family as they lost a wonderful person in their family. I was fortunate to have known Frank for so many years through the music world. He was always so cheerful, always shared a joke (which were sometimes real groaners), and he was always able to teach you something about music. And yes, in days gone by, I even got some of the asparagus that he picked up in his travels. Truly a remarkable guy, caring about his family, and dedicated to his music. He leaves a lot of memories on Earth but Heaven has gained another great drummer!

To all of Frank’s family, especially Betty and Pat and my niece Tracy Phelan, frank was a great man. He used to come to Thompson Products ( TRW ) on family day to our park with his band and play the day, his music was good then later on I would get Tracy to order aparuas for our frizzed. He will be missed.

My sincerest condolences to Betty and family. Frank was a great guy and his memory will live on in all the people who knew him. My parents could not have asked for better friends. When my father was in his final years Frank and Betty were always there and I really appreciated their friendship to my parents. From Sunday concerts at Queenston Heights, pit bands for musicals, clown band on labour day, grape and wine to a smokey night at The Mansion House it was always a musical gathering when Frank was around. With his magic hankie disappearing coins and cigarettes Frank was a true vaudevillian.
