Obituary of Rita Monica Maloney

On Thursday, March 10, 2022 Rita (Nana) passed away peacefully at Henley House, at the age of 101. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Maloney (1993). Rita was the much-loved mother of Betty Anne (Don) Dobie, Phil (Margie) Maloney and Monica (Peter) Cameron. Nana will have an everlasting bond with her 7 grandchildren. Her legacy of love will live on for her 11 great-grandchildren. Predeased by her parents, siblings and in-laws, the last of her generation. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and their families. She was dear Nana Rita to the McNamees. Rita had a strong faith and was a long-time C.W.L. member. She made lifelong friends wherever she went and touched people’s hearts with her kindness and humour. Special thanks to her Henley House family especially the caring, dedicated staff of Centennial Park. Nana's family is forever grateful to you. Cremation has taken place. Private family arrangements entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home. A Celebration Of Life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Hospice Niagara. Nana's words, "Just love each other." Love you Nana.
