Obituary of Roland Joseph Legault
LEGAULT, Roland
May 23, 1927 - April 5, 2012
It is with both sadness and relief that we announce the passing of our dad, Roland Legault. Left to mourn his loss are his children Denis (Liz), Lucie (Len) Watson and Bob (Kate). Cherished Pepere of Todd (Belinda), Anne (Dave) House, Trevor, and Stasi. Great Pepere of Karlie and Logan Legault and Mackenzie House. Predeceased by his wife Simone (2001). Working alongside Simone, Rolly owned and operated Rolly's Jewellers, watch repair, engraving and jewellery store for over 40 years, in Niagara-on-the-Lake. He was well known and respected in the community for his dedication and generosity to his loyal customers. Moving into Upper Canada Lodge 2 years ago, a source of great pleasure for him was to walk downtown, get an ice cream cone and sit on the park bench across from the Prince of Wales, just steps away from his old store. We would like to thank the staff at Upper Canada for the care, kindness and compassion shown to Dad during his residency there and to all of us during this difficult past week. In keeping with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private family celebration will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. In memory of Dad, share a smile, show a kindness.
