Obituary of Richard Allen Kalagian
KALAGIAN, Richard
Peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the age of 81. He leaves behind his loving wife Judy, his daughters Marissah Kalagian, Jennifer (Tim) Audit, Erin (Jason) Benoit. Grandfather to Thomas, Caleb, Christopher and Morgan. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by his parents Mariam and Paravon, his son Daniel, and his siblings Hank, Mitchell, Larry, Nick and Edna.
Richard achieved the Rank of Corporal with the United States Marines Corps with an Honourable Discharge after 4 years of service. He was a dedicated and loyal employee of General Motors for 43 years and retired as a Divisional Buyer. Richard was also a member of Garden City Productions where he played many roles including his most memorable being the lead in “Funny Girl”. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. Richard was outgoing, charismatic and had a great sense of humour that will be missed by all who knew him.
He did it “His Way”!
A special thank you to all those who cared for him during his 6 years at Tabor Manor. Your care and compassion brought comfort to not only Rick but to his family over the years. In accordance with Richard’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME (905) 937-4444. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Radiant Care Tabor Manor.
