Vitalina Di Paola

Obituary of Vitalina Di Paola

Di Paola, Vitalina (Vita) - On Friday night, February 4th, 2022 Vitalina (Vita) is now at peace and eternally with The Lord, Jesus Christ when she was called home after a courageous battle at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 71. As a devoted wife for 54 years, we all take comfort knowing that Mom; waiting 36 years will be reunited and able to spend time with her forever love, the late Giuseppe. Cherished mother of Peter (Maria) and Vito (Antonietta). She was a treasured Nonna of Alessia, Joseph, Isabella, Mikayla and Alexa. Vita is also survived by her brother Federico (Lucia). Predeceased by her brother Carmine (Alessandra) of Italy. Brother in law of Rocco (Rosa). She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family in Italy, her dear neighbors and many friends. Vita was an avid gardener who loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her loving heart, generosity and her friendship. She was a very generous person who shared her talents and blessings in many ways. She had the gift of hospitality. She filled our home with love as well as with the smells of her wonderful cooking and baking. There was always something on the stove or on the table with produce from her garden and in the evenings, Mom would make her phone call to her boys checking on their day and how her family was. She remains in our hearts always. All those who knew her loved her very much. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St Catharines on Wednesday, February 9th from 2-4p.m. & 6-8p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Wednesday at 3:45p.m. in the funeral home.
