HELMINK, Hank - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27th, 2022 at the Hotel Dieu- Shaver Hospital at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Teresa for 67 years. Cherished father of Debbie (Paul) and Rob. Loving Grandpa of Dan and Kevin. Great Grandpa of Liam, Damien, Elizabeth, Jerrid and Mason. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews in Holland.  Hank worked as a Tinsmith at General Motors for 28 years, retiring in 1990. He was an avid fisherman and accomplished Wood Carver. In 1945, in Holland, Hank joined the Dutch Navy Air Force and set off for Indonesia. He visited many places over the years including Sri Lanka, India, Coco Islands as well as several other places along the way. Hank and Teresa loved to travel; visting Italy, Spain, Canary Islands and Alaska to name just a few.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday, January 31st from 6-8p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 1st at 1p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations to the Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
