Obituary of Harout Zakarian

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful brother, uncle, son, father, cousin, husband and friend on December 8, 2021. He was a devoted father to Zariné, cherished son of Marie and Garbis, and best brother to Vahé and Salpi.

Harout (Harry) was a respected deacon and the heart of St. Gregory’s Armenian Church.  He meant so many things to so many people, and will be greatly missed. Harout lived life on his own terms, and he passed on his own terms.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2-6pm at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A Prayer Service will take place on Sunday, December 12 at 5:30pm at the funeral home.Proof of vaccination/identification is required to attend the visitation and/or Prayer Service. Due to church capacity limitations, a private funeral service will take place. If desired, donations to St. Gregory's Armenian Church would be appreciated by Harout's family.
