Obituary of Theresa Mary Ann Plut

Theresa Plut left this world peacefully on November 27, 2021 at the age of 84 following a lengthy illness. She was happily married to Boris for 56 years, and was a supportive and loving mother to Dennis, Colleen (Paul), and Kevin (Donna), and proud Nana to Spencer and Colin. She was born to William and Mary English of Nelson, NB and was blessed with 8 siblings. She is survived by her sisters Marie and Jean. She will also be greatly missed by the Plut family who adored her, and she loved.

She studied at the Bathurst School of Nursing, eventually becoming an RN. Her career eventually brought her to Ontario, where she worked as a nurse at Hotel Dieu Hospital for over 30 years. She took great joy in helping and caring for others.

Theresa cherished her time with family and friends, and was known for her kindness and generosity. She was always the first to reach out to those in need. She always lit up the room with her warm smile, her storytelling and infectious laughter. She was proud of her Miramichi roots, her Irish and French heritage, and was also a proud member of Slovenian club Lipa Park in St. Catharines.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. with a Funeral Service on December 4, 2021 at 11am in the funeral home’s Ceremony Room. Those wishing to attend the visitation or service must show proof of vaccination and identification. For those wishing to attend virtually, please click on the link provided below. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
