Obituary of Donald Ivan Day
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Don on Thursday November 18th, 2021. Father to Bryan (Rosa), Grandpa to Jordan, brother to George (Linda), Lillian, Ken (Linda), Lorraine (Bill), Rosemary, Joan, and Tim. He will also be missed by his thirteen nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Sidney and Sarah, and his sister Betty (the late Bill)
Don enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, a big bowl of cherry ice cream, playing the slots at the casino, and spending time with his grandson.
Family will receive guests at a visitation on Wednesday, November 24th from 4-6pm at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, with a Celebration of Life to take place at 6pm. In accordance with current Covid guidelines, proof of double vaccination is required for all wishing to attend the visitation or ceremony. Masks must be worn while in the funeral home.
