It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dawn on, Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the age of 93. She was a proud United Empire Loyalist. Beloved wife of the late William (1986). She will be dearly missed by her sisters-in-law Marian Campbell and Joan Jones, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends especially Betty MacAleese. She is predeceased by her parents Cecil and Theresa (nee Cove) Jones, brother Norm and daughter-in-law Sue Courtemanche.
Dawn had many passions, whether it was Skiing, gardening, sewing in the Port Dalhousie Craft Guild, quilting, or volunteering as a Henley Island Helper. She shared her love of quilting with her night school students. She and her husband co-owned Merrittville Speedway in the 1950’s until the 1970’s with their good friends the Kavanagh’s.
