Obituary of Barbara Ann Elizabeth Dawson

Peacefully and surrounded by family, Barbara Dawson (nee Himes) passed into rest at the St. Catharines General Hospital on October 12^th, 2021 in her 85^th year. Barb leaves behind her children, Kevin Dawson (Margie), Robin Fairey and Janet Ackerson (Robert); grandchildren: Angela, Adam, Andrew, Cheryl, Tanya, Sarah, Daniel, Samantha and James and many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her cherished husband, Herbert; her daughter Jill Reintaler and her granddaughter, Melissa. Barb’s happiest moments were shared at the cottage where she spent time with her family and friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital for the excellent care. In keeping with her wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. The family invites guests to the funeral home on Saturday October 16^th, 2021 for a Funeral Service for Barb. The family will be present to greet guests for 1:30PM, with service to follow at 2:00PM sharp. Please RSVP as there are only 50 seats available, 905-937-4444. Due to Covid-19, please wear a mask when attending the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted in Barb’s honour to The Lincoln County Humane Society.
