Obituary of Julie Gilbert
After a courageous eight-year battle with ovarian cancer, Julie peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on the date of October 10th, 2021 at Hospice Niagara. Julie leaves behind her loving husband of 41 years, Jeff and her cherished daughter, Kelly. Julie is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Lily; siblings Barry and Lindsey; nieces Scarlett, Millie, Rebecca and nephew Matthew.
Julie never missed a televised Manchester City game and always attended Tranmere Rovers games when she travelled ‘back home’ to England. Julie spent time potting in the garden, catching up on her favourite television series and reading.
The family wish to give special thanks to Dr. Alazragh, Dr. Leveque and the nursing staff at Walker Cancer Family Centre. Also, much appreciative to the Hospice Niagara team who went above and beyond with the care given to Julie.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. The family invites guests for visitation on the day of Thursday, October 14th 2021 from 2-4, 7-9pm.
