Obituary of Michael Sobie
It is with sad and heavy hearts that our family announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Michael Sobie on September 22, 2021 in his 87th year. Michael is now reunited with the love of his life, Liz (1995). Michael leaves behind brother-in-law, Andy (Taina); brother Bernie (Louise); brother-in-law Bruce, sister-in-law Anne; many nieces, especially Kirsten, Karen, Kathy, Tiffany and nephews and cherished goddaughter, Allison. Michael was predeceased by his loving parents, Joseph and Mary; siblings Paul, Lenard, Walter, Olga and Clara; partner Anne. Michael loved to spend his free time hunting and fishing, especially with his best buddy Casmir. In keeping with Michael’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at Niagara Lakeshore. If desired, please donate in honour of Michael to the Operation Smile Foundation.
