Obituary of Erelyne Jennifer Bachelor
It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Erelyne Jennifer Bachelor on September 7, 2021. Born on December 14, 1936 in Hepburn Saskatchewan to parents, David and Marcella Schmor. Predeceased by her husband, Morris L. Bachelor (1990) and partner, Ray Beckett (2021). Loving mother to C. Pamela (Ted) Garrett, Shelley (Bruno) Mattei, Cindy (Vaughn Hambley 2019) and Scott (Lori). Cherished grandmother to Jennifer (Tim), Stephanie (Donnie), Jordan (Armand), Jason, Kimberley, Hugh, Owen and Alysha. Erelyne was a step-grandmother to, Chris-Sean (Ashley), Meagan (Ryan), and the late Liam (2008). She also adored her great-grandchildren: Sierra, Zakori, Roxanna, Aura and Bella as well as her step-great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Felicity, Rodney, Makayla and Ava. Erelyne was the sister to Eleanor Pula, Gary Schmor and Tom Schmor, and will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Erelyne served many years in the cosmetic department at Eatons and fulfilled her lifelong dream of music by; singing, directing, coaching, judging and competing in Canada and the US in barbershop harmony. Erelyne's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Henley House for their kind support and compassion.
In keeping with Erelyne’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. The family wish to invite guests for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, September, 12th from 12:00PM to 2:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 2:00PM in our ceremony room with a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Erelyne to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region.
Due to Covid-19, please wear a mask when attending both funeral service and visitation. Please call and RSVP 905-937-4444 for the ceremony, as seating is limited to 100 guests.
