Obituary of Tracy Patricia Horwood
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Tracy Horwood announce her sudden passing on August 24th 2021 at the NHS-St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 60. Tracy will be dearly missed by her sister Trudy (Peter 2002) Markarian, nieces, Liz Markarian, Sheila Horwood, nephews, Mike Markarian, William Horwood Jr.,(Stella Bird), great-nieces and nephews: Brody Markarian, Britny Zgazar, Paige Markarian, Michael Markarian Jr., Oscar Horwood and Simon Horwood. Also to miss Tracy are her relatives in england: Clare Farmer, Brendan Cush, Jim McDonald and Doreen Pike and her many others. Tracy is predeceased by her loving parents, Elizabeth and William; her brother William and his wife Julie.
Many funny memories will be cherished, especially how particular Tracy was. We will also miss travelling with Tracy to the family cottage in Parry Sound where she loved spending summer holidays. The summers were filled with laughter, shopping, BBQs, pumping the well water and being outdoors by the lake. Music was among the many hobbies that Tracy enjoyed. The family wish to extend a special thanks to the staff at West Park for their exceptional care of Tracy.
In keeping with Tracy’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. The family will receive guests on the evening of Monday, August 30th from 6-8PM with a funeral service in the funeral home the following day Tuesday August 31st at 11AM. If desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, everyone is required to wear a mask while attending the visitation. There is no limit or reservation required for visitation.
