Obituary of Clarice Ann Mooney
Mooney, Clarice Ann (nee Scott) peacefully on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 at Hospice Niagara. Clarice proud and loving mother of Amanda Michelle and wife of Michael. Survived by her brother Louis (Sharon) and her sister Mary Ann (Larry). Predeceased by her parents Frank and Matilda Scott, her niece Angela McAdorey and her son-in-law Anant Vyas. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Clarice was born, raised and educated in St. Catharines. She was a member of the Niagara Regional Police Services until the birth of her daughter. Later Clarice became a member of Niagara Casinos and rose to the position of security manager. She was an avid singer and belonged to several choruses.
Clarice was diagnosed with cancer and fought hard for more than four years. The family would like to thank Dr. Vandermeer and the nurses at the Walker Family Cancer Centre, we would also like to thank Dr. Chauhan and nurse Judy for all their hard work.
The family will recieve friends on Friday, August 27th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, 905-937-4444. A Celebration of Clarice's life will be held on Saturday morning at 11am. Covid restrictions are still in effect. Friends will need to wear a mask during the visitation and a reservation must be made to attend the Celebration.
