BOSEY, Eleanor Nadine

Passed away peacefully on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the age of 88. Devoted wife of 53 years to Morris. Loving mother of Gregory (Michelle) and Resa (John) O’Connor. Proud Baba to Grace, Olivia, Ella and Annabel. Much loved sister of Walter (the late Katherine) Stayshyn and Irene Stayshyn and sister-in-law to Helen (the late Eric) Witton, the late Steve (Anne) Bosy and Olga (the late Zenon) Wowk. Eleanor will also be fondly missed by many nieces, nephews and her numerous cousins.

Eleanor was known for her feistiness, for her love of celebrating Ukrainian traditions and celebrating everyone’s birthday. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than caring for, nurturing and feeding others.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of the health care professionals at NHS-St. Catharines for their support and compassion.

Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Monday, August 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service for Eleanor will be held at St. John The Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church, 91 Lakeshore Road, St. Catharines on Tuesday, August 10 at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 600 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington.

In keeping with COVID-19 regulations, all guests attending the visitation and funeral are required to wear a mask. Funeral capacity is limited to 50 guests. All guests attending the  funeral are asked to call the funeral home to RSVP, 905-937-4444.
