Obituary of John Aubrey Inwood
Inwood, John Aubrey (Jack), July 21, 1922 - May 13, 2012. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jack Inwood, in his ninetieth year, at the St. Catharines General Hospital after a short illness. Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. He was predeceased by his parents, his six brothers and sisters, his first wife Helen (1954), his second wife Marg (2000), his daughter Rosemary (2003), and son-in-law Henry Heise (2010). He is survived by his daughter Lynn Heise (Henry), his sons Paul (Joan) and Robert (Debbie), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jack was a veteran of World War II and worked for more than 40 years for CNR/Via Rail until his retirement in 1979. He loved his sports, gardening, reading, and was never without his crossword puzzles. We would like to express our thanks and appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses of the Palliative Care Unit of the SCGH. Also our thanks to the paramedics and emergency room staff. His final care was entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. Cremation has taken place at his request and will be followed in the near future by a private family internment. We will miss you Dad. Tally Ho. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Lupus Foundation of ON, Autism Society of ON or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by Jack's Family.
