Obituary of Trevor Francis Maingot

MAINGOT, Trevor Francis

It is with a very saddened heart that we said farewell to our Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and brother to Marilyn, Margaret, Patsy, the late Richard and the late Kevin.  Dad passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday July 27, 2021 comforted and loved by his children Trevor Jr, (Debbie), Richard (Carol), Christopher (Becky) and Michelle. He was blessed with loving and caring grandchildren Jeremy (Melissa), Christy (Peter), Matthew (Yang), Adam (Janice), Samantha, Andrea, Simon, Jessica, Jaclyn and Jillian. Great grandchildren Connor, Ethan, Sophie, Lauren, Gavin, Oren, Asher and Abby. He will be dearly missed by many extended family members especially Sally.

The family would like to thank Ashley, Dad’s home dialysis provider, PSWs especially James, nurses and Father Richard for all their care and compassion over the years. Dad will be embraced by his beloved wife Rita and his son Gerard.  May Dad rest in eternal peace with his Franciscan brothers.  Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin St., St. Catharines on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Rite of Committal at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, NOTL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul – Star of the Sea branch.

Due to Covid rules governing gatherings and in particular the capacity limit of 100 at the Funeral Mass for Tervor, the funeral home is asking for direct family members to RSVP first followed by other guests. So, the family members have now all responded. If you are intending to attend the Funeral Mass and/or the burial at the cemetery, you are most welcome and we would be honored to have you attend. Masks must be worn.So kindly call the funeral home at 905-937-4444 and provide your name as soon as possible.
