I met Kim when I was in high school. Kim taught me that friendships can blossom in the most unexpected places. Kim always treated me with love, kindness and understanding. She supported me in so many milestones and I'm forever grateful for the bond we shared. This is a devastating loss, not only to her family but to the Toronto community. She was a unique and beautiful soul. May her spirit smile down on us all.

Tyler, Leigha, David & Jody, my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you all. Your mum was always thinking of all of you, before anyone else. She was a loving mother to all of you and would always share heartwarming stories. Your mum loved working with kids, and the community. She was a rock to assist and help all of you and her friends. She enjoyed seeing you all succeed.
I've always loved your zest for life, and your drive. You will always be considered a friend

Tyler, Leigha, David and Jodi my thoughts and prayers are with you. Kim my friend- I will dearly miss you. We shared a name, often our birthdays as they were a few days apart. You loved and cared for my girls watching them grow. You let them care for your children. You loved life, shared your experiences, embraced your achievements. You are at peace now with Steve. Love you girl. PS….I wonder if they have peanut butter where you journey has taken you?!!!

Kimmie, you were such an incredible woman and I am so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with you on different occasions like Grundy Lake where you taught me the rooster song and how to circle dance. I remember going late at night to the dump to watch the bears and walking along with you and Jodi. I will always remember our late night mission to sunnyside to grab food and gear for the gathering of the four directions event, we talked and laughed and shared stories. Rest in paradise my friend, you won't soon be forgotten.

There are so many “Go train” memories I have with Kim that I wouldn’t know where to begin. We talked and laughed until we cried some days. I was lucky to have our friendship continue and blessed to have the memories. I will miss you and will think of your giggle often.

I will never forget Kim’s laugh. The twinkle in her eye and the feeling you got that you were the most important person in the room whenever she spoke to you. We take solace in the fact that Kim has travelled through the western door, across the fields of grass, over river, stream and lake to the mountains where she ascends to a place where her husband and loved ones and friends, who have gone before, await to greet her and she takes her place of honour in the spirit world. May she be there many years from now to greet us when We make our journey. Baamaapii Kim.

Kim was one of thr warmest genuine people I have ever met. Her friendship and support of Fitst Nations School of Toronto and the Abiriginal Headstart Programs was ever present. I thought we lost a lot when she retired. I was wrong..the world was a better place with her in it
I will miss you my friend.
