DIAMANTIS Anestis “Andy”

March 24, 1934 - June 25, 2021

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021. He is pre-deceased by his brothers Father Theodoros, and Pelopidas, and will be dearly missed by his sister Stavroula. Those whose lives were most impacted with his immense love are his devoted children Katerina Kubarakos (George) and Theoharis Diamantis (Ann), and his grandchildren Taea, Elias, Elli and Martha whom he loved dearly. He leaves behind, Martha, his devoted and loving wife of 60 years, who was the pillar in his life and will miss him immensely. He will be fondly remembered by friends and family here and in Greece. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the St. Katharines Greek Orthodox Church, where you would find Andy worshiping, or attending Club Ellas with his closest friends.

Andy’s family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St.,. As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations – visitation is limited to 15% building capacity. All guests attending the visitation must wear a mask and must call the funeral home to make an appointment. Due to COVID restrictions a Private Family Funeral will take place at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 585 Niagara St. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 12p.m.  For those who wish to attend virtually, a link will be on the funeral home’s website. We appreciate everyone who has played a role in celebrating his life.
