BAGAZZOLI, Giovanni “John”
It is with heavy hearts, but with admiration for a life well-lived, that we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad and Nonno in his 100th year on his birthday, June 17, 2021. Predeceased by his cherished wife Margherita (1997) and beloved son, Romano (2015). Survived by his loving daughter, Louise (Phil) Dyck and grandsons Paul and Andrew (Ashley). Born on June 17, 1922 in Terro, Province of Macerata, Italy, Dad made the immigrant trek to Canada in 1951; his wife and young son followed in 1952. After a fulfilling 34 year career with the City of St. Catharines, Dad entered a much-deserved retirement in 1987. Shortly after, his role of playful Nonno began. He leaves us a strong work ethic, dedication to family, devotion to Faith and being a grateful, proud Canadian. Till we meet again Dad, rest in eternal peace.
There will be no visitation as we chose to honour and celebrate Dad’s long, rich life with a Private Family Ceremony. Arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
