Emidio Iezzi

Obituary of Emidio Iezzi

Suddenly on Thursday, May 20, 2021 Emidio passed away at the age of 76. Survived by his wife Edda Iezzi. Cherished father of Diana (Oscar), Delia (Shawn), Debbie, Miranda (Doug). Loving grandfather of Julian, Amelia, Melia and Jaida. Beloved son of the late Concetta and Giuseppe Iezzi. Cherished brother of Iole (Corrado), the late Donato (Vilma), Sylvana (Corrado) and Maria (Gabriele). He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Born in Italy, Emidio came to Canada at the age of 19 to make a better life for himself.  Being the go getter he was, he took up the skill of welding. He loyally worked for Canadian Erectors for over 40 years.  His infectious laugh and positive outlook on life spread to those around him. His dad puns, whether intentional or not, were the best around. Family and friends came to him to drink his award winning wine, pick up his ever sought after tomato plants, eat his amazing food or to help solve their problems.  Even with his limited education, he was a genius in Math, a master Engineer (making something out of nothing) and had a Yoda  sense for growing anything in his prized garden.  He was a cherished member of Club Roma for over 50yrs, always lending a helping hand, especialy with the Hunters Club. He was a King pin at bowling, an avid hunter and looked forward to his Saturday mornings hanging with his buddies at Big Marcos.

He lived life to the fullest, the way he wanted and with no regrets. Family was his everything, and he was ours. It gives us a great sense of comfort knowing he spent his last minutes of life doing what he loved best: tending to his yard and sitting on his front Porsche.  A Private Family Visitation and  Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
