Obituary of Lillian Pearl Hayes
HAYES, Lillian Pearl - Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Heidehof Home for the Aged at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late John Hayes Sr. She is predeceased by her first husband Omer Gagne. Cherished mother of the late Fred Gagne, Brian (Olga) Gagne, Wayne (Donna) Gagne, John Hayes Jr. ( the late Heather) and Elizabeth Hayes. Loving grandmother of Kristen (Sean) Rose, Chris (Kristi) Hayes and Robert (Emily) Hayes. Great grandmother of Sierra, Jack, Maya and Alexandra. Lillian is predeceased by her brothers Jack, Ray, Charles and Robert Smith and her sister Dorothy Gill. Those who knew Lillian would describe her as optimistic, gracious, and kind. She had a heart of gold and her friends and family meant the world to her. She had a passion for hosting family gatherings and felt she could never have enough food on the table. She especially loved having people gather around the kitchen table with a cup of tea. Her friendly personality and generous heart endeared her to many and she was loved by all who were fortunate to know her. Cremation has taken place. As per Lillian's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this point. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
