Pat passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her first husband with whom she shared 45 wonderful and lively years, Ralph Jaques (1999); and her second loving and kindhearted husband of 15 years, Frank Young (2018).  Pat is survived by her three children Gregory (Vesta), Gail, and Suzanne; her cherished grandchildren, Annika and Sebastian; and her step-children, their children, and grandchildren.

Pat worked for many years as a bank manager, an uncommon role for women of her generation. She was well respected in both the banking industry and the business community. She was truly a trailblazer, leading by example and showing her children that women can do anything--including becoming the first female treasurer of the Ottawa Rowing Club in the early 1970s. She was generous, hospitable, and loved a party—the consummate hostess, always inviting friends to join them at their home and family cottage.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired, donations in Pat’s memory can be made to The Lincoln County Humane Society.  A service will be held at a later date when Covid restrictions are lifted and it is safe to gather again.
