Obituary of Teresa Gorman

Gorman, Teresa (nee Dutton) - It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Teresa on December 19, 2010 at the age of 70. She was surrounded with the love of her family as she was guided into the loving arms of God. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Gerald, with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage. Teresa is the much loved mother of Angela Greco (Frank), Letitia, Gerald (Sherry), David (Sheri), Christopher, Anthony (Sarah) and will be sadly missed. She will be lovingly remembered and cherished as Granny by her 17 grandchildren and great granddaughter. Teresa is survived by her sisters Rita and Mary and many brothers and sisters in law and leaves many loving and fond memories in the hearts of her family and friends here and abroad. She was a dedicated and faithful parishioner of St. Alfred's Church. Kind and generous in all her ways, she gave much love to her faith, family and friends. We wish to express our gratitude to the volunteer drivers of the Canadian Cancer Society, and staff of Hospice Niagara for their compassionate care. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street on Monday 7-9pm, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3pm. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, on Wednesday at 9:30am. Burial will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations can be made in memory of Teresa to Canadian Cancer Society (Volunteer Drivers) or Hospice Niagara.
